6. Story Stones
One of my students’ favorite writing activities is to tell stories with story cubes. They enjoy the freedom to write about whatever they’d like but still appreciate having some guidance on where to go with their stories. Once or twice a year I’ll have students bring in their own stones and we each paint an image on our stone. Once they’re dry, we trade with someone else, and have fun making our own unique stories. Children at home over a long school break would love this activity as well!
