3. Rockinoes

Teach your children how to play a game of classic Dominoes with their own set of rockinoes. Using ovalish-shaped stones, simply paint a solid line across the middle and then add pips (aka- “the dots”) ranging from 1-6 above and below the line.  These can be such an effective way to help children learn about fractions as well.  Put them in order from least to greatest or greatest to least.  For especially tricky math, convert improper fractions into proper ones by starting with a larger numerator.  I’m especially happy in life when my children are having fun and learning at the same time!
