Flour Paint

For projects that require slightly thinner paints, such as water color projects, flour-based paints will be the best for the job.  The gluten in flour keeps it from becoming as thick in mixtures as corn starch, which does not contain gluten.  To make this recipe, you’ll need 2 C. flour, 2 tsp. salt, 2 1/2 C. cold water, 2 C. boiling water, and food coloring.
