5. Glove Monsters
When my middle son was a toddler he saw a commercial on TV with monsters and became terrified to go to sleep at night. My husband and I tried all sorts of ideas to help him see that monsters aren’t real but nothing worked. We had many sleepless nights for awhile until my genius aunt suggested beating the monsters with monsters. Not 3 hours later, Aunt Elaine showed up on my doorstep with a silly plush monster for my son. She sat him down and explained how his new monster friend would keep any other monsters away. We’ve never had a case of “monster-mares” ever since.
