Fall is almost upon us, and that means some of the best times of the year are coming right up. Of course, that includes Halloween parties! Today I’ve got some Spooktacular Halloween party ideas for kids. These ideas are awesome for a home party or a school party–it’s up to you. Check them out and have fun!
A classic way to celebrate Halloween is to carve pumpkins. Since the carving can easily get out of hand with a lot of kids to manage, paint pumpkins instead. Have everyone wear an old t-shirt to protect their costumes from paint stains. Let them get into the fun of safely decorating their own Halloween pumpkin! Afterwards, set up a display and take some photos to remember the fun. Hand out prizes from Dollar Tree for the cutest, scariest, most colorful, etc.
Another Halloween party idea kids will love is to set up a simple photo booth with props. Take pics of the kids on a Polaroid instant camera. They’ll love taking their photo home to show Mom and Dad!
Food is an integral part of Spooktacular Halloween party. Make homemade root beer with dry ice to add an instant spooky appeal to the party. Here’s a good recipe if you don’t have one. Make sure to wear gloves and use care when handling dry ice!
Kids love pizza, so how easy is it to let them decorate their own pizza on an English muffin crust? Pretty easy! Just have things like green and yellow peppers, black olives, pepperoni and cheese ready to go.
Cut apple wedges and remove a section from the peel side. Spread the “mouth” with peanut butter and add sunflower seeds for teeth. The kids can add candy eyes and sliced strawberries to make their apple ghoul complete.
For the cutest beverage glass ever, use a Sharpie paint pen in black to decorate milk bottles. Colored juices and milk complete the Spooktacular look, but it’s optional. Add a Halloween paper straw for fun.
Put these Halloween party ideas to work, and your party will be nothing short of Spooktacular!
